There is the world that we live in and one that we imagine. [This collection of work represents an effort to] inch closer to the latter.

Charm

OZ Architecture // Breckenridge, CO

The newly rebranded Curio Collection by Hilton in Breckenridge unveils a striking new lobby and a refined blend of alpine luxury meets historic charm. Refreshed guest rooms, a signature restaurant, speakeasy, and curated amenities create an elevated experience. Designed for today’s adventurer, the hotel pays homage to Breckenridge’s early day explorers through thoughtful, subtle details woven throughout the property.

280-key resort, 205 guest rooms, 217,576 SF, Resorts & Hospitality, Interior Design (SD-CD)

Tucked away and intimate, the speakeasy evokes warmth, connection, and a spirit of quiet rebellion with subtle design cues that nod to the Prohibition era. A true hidden gem—if you know, you know—it invites guests to discover, linger, and indulge in the romance of a forgotten era.

The lobby’s fireplace, with its slanted angle and open design, creates a natural gathering place, drawing guests between the reception and the Carter Bar. Gold accents in the bar pay homage to the area’s gold rush history, adding a touch of local heritage to the modern ambiance.

The property features an all-king inventory, with every guest room offering at least one king bed, complemented by open storage millwork that combines streamlined function with modern design. Carpet patterns echo the topography of the Ten Mile Range, while updated bathroom fixtures and finishes bring a fresh, contemporary touch.
