There is the world that we live in and one that we imagine. [This collection of work represents an effort to] inch closer to the latter. (Frank Chimero)
Possibility
Grant-funded mobile interactive STEAM lab designed and built for 6th grade class to encourage discovery-based learning. With the goal of allowing students to remain open to both technical and creative mindsets, this interactive lab offers light and sound experiences to explore pattern, frequencies, composition, sound, etc.
Encouraging students to become composers and directors of their own knowledge and interests.
Maker-space - The interior of the trailer allows students to pose questions about sound and instruments as they choose various resources for instrument construction. Students learn through discovery as they sculpt sound.
Performance - Students use their instruments inside a light box which visualizes sound frequencies. This space allows for live STEAM shows that allow students to identify talents and interests in both technology and arts.
